What is the DurbanLab?

The Codebridge DurbanLab serves as an opportunity for civic-minded folks to come together and ‘hack’ some Durban-centric projects. This is about actually getting our hands dirty with open data and civic technology and hacking, writing, visualising, developing and creating on the night.

Community is an important part of Open Data Durban and we wish to engage with the community in different ways, the Codebridge DurbanLab is one of those ways. At the DurbanLab we have a set of projects that people can check out, provide input on and contribute to an aspect of the project. You are able to work on a project based on your interests, for example, design, coding, writing or you can check out the different projects that we have and if one of them interest you check the different aspects that you can work on for that project.

Projects

These are the projects that are currently active at The Lab. Have a look, each project has a different aspect that you could work on.

Need some Inspiration!

These are some examples of data sites. You can check them out for inspiration or you can use them as a resource for the projects you working on.
